Had the honor of painting all of the signage at Blue Cloud Movie Ranch! As many of you know, I also work in the motion picture industry. One of the locations that we occasionally work at is this amazing movie ranch. About 4 years ago, I was the Sign Writer on Seal Team and as I was painting at the ranch, the owners approached me and got my contact to paint their signage! Luckily, I also own Super Signs with a background in illustration, graphic design, branding, signs painting, murals, vinyl, etc. Along with the equipment / kit to make large scale signage! Anyways, the owner is getting married this week and he decided to finally pull the trigger on the signage. This was a big notch under the belt for me as the amount of painters to come in and out of the ranch I was given the opportunity to paint, so I really gave it my all. Also, I hired a rotating crew of painters that have been out of work due to the strike, this was my way of giving back to those who helped me get where I am today.
Over the last two weeks, we primed and painted the guard shack. Along with a custom hand-painted sign on MDO sign board. Hand-Painted a beige water tank with the logo on the front, the slogan on the back, another logo directing to the Art area of the ranch (these were about 10ft wide, front & then the back). We Painted two double sided 10ft logos on their water trucks (4 total). Lastly, we painted two large white water tanks - double sided - each art work scaled to about 13ft wide. The owner, Dylan, had this meme he was in love with that he wanted executed onto the water tanks. As you can see in the photos, it’s very fun and bresks it up a bit!
