wanted to share a journal prompt and response that i made a couple nights ago that brought me some peace so here ya go!

❓what do i need to let go of or invite in to feel more aligned?

i. need to let go of self-judgement and let go of fear. i need to let go of the mindset of being derailed—and in turn invite in the mindset that i simply have lost focus of my goals and ambitions for a little bit of time, and i have the tools and resources to get myself back in focus. when i am focused, i am naturally more motivated. when my emotions cloud my focus, it’s okay to feel those feelings. i should feel them fully and completely. when i allow myself to do that, i am speeding up the process of remembering that Ai just need to refocus to get back on track. so it’s OKAY!

i also need to invite in lots of forgiveness for myself. it’s okay if it takes me longer than “normal” to recover from a setback. it’s literally not a big deal and no one cares!! forgiving myself will bring awareness to my emotional state and help me remember that i’m not on anyone’s timeline. this awareness will hopefully keep me from getting so wrapped up in the emotions to the point that i feel derailed.

aka some insight into my mental state these last couple months lol 😅 working on it !!

hey y’allz! hope you’re killing it on this wonderful tuesday! i got like 10 hours of sleep last night and now i’m watching this insane match while i work ( for obvious reasons 😅)!

this is one of the logo concepts i created for my mom’s window covering business…but not the one she went with! i just loved this one though so it’s getting a home on the feed 😝

i’m wrapping up her website build and The Stude’s website this week! if all goes according to plan out relaunch will drop by sometime next week 👀 yaaaaas!

y’all it has been a week LOL. on tuesday our a/c went out and was only blowing hot air in the house…and yeah in AZ that is not ideal! 🥵

my husband justin and i have been through tons of life hiccups but we got to experience a new one this time! 😅 we weren’t able to get a technician to come out until today, which meant it was pushing 99 degrees inside yesterday….so naturally we blew up an wit mattress and slept outside on our patio last night 🤣 gotta do what you gotta do!

luckily we got it fixed this morning and i will never take a/c for granted ever again hahahaha! IN OTHER NEWS: i have some bangin boards to share for my mom’s project!

her keywords based on her current clients included: clean, luxury, simple, at ease, integrity, honest, hardworking, comfort

i went with a super classic, old-money, luxury vibe, a slightly warmer and toned down version of that (e.g. still luxury but slightly more modern), and finally a more “humble” vibe—like is rich but doesn’t indulge as much in the boujee life 😝

any guesses on which one she went with? technically it ended up being a combination of 2 of them, but one definitely stood out!

PS it just started down pouring…why couldn’t this have happened yesterday when we were dying of heat!!!! 😅

WEBSITE MISTAKES TO AVOID

➟ BROKEN LINKS -- extremely common among DIY sites! If your links on your website don’t work, you’re automatically less credible, your people can’t find what they’re looking for, and you are missing an opportunity to keep your peeps engaged with you

➟ YOU SOUND DIFFERENT -- not having the same tone of voice across all of your platforms is confusing, your people don’t know who is talking to them, and you don’t sound like the approachable person they know on social media

➟ RELYING ON LINKTREE (or something like it) -- can leave your people guessing if they are looking to learn more about you, you are limited to links only, you can’t tell as much of a story and it feels very cold

Who is your “person” (the perfect client)? Is it the one who wants to do everything BUT what you say, or is it the one who trusts you completely with your decisions and looks to you as the expert that you are?!

If you have to think about the answer to that….just keep scrolling past this post please 😂

If your people feel like a burden, then maybe it’s time to define who it is you want them to be.

“Wait, but I’ve already determined who I want my people to be. I just can’t seem to get in front of them. Either that, or they decide not to stick with me for the long-term…”

If that’s the case, it’s time to go deeper. Not the surface-level sh*t like age, location, etc. We need SUBSTANCE. No one is listening when you are talking to everyone, and that’s because most people have decent bullsh*t instincts. No one cares about the generic stuff––they want, and NEED, something impactful that will hit them like a ton of bricks.
