Do you need leads on DAY 1?
I think that we've all been there…
You brace yourself for your first campaign launch.
You set up a page, an ad account, write some text, and showcase a past job you did.
Then… you wait.
And wait.
Every second, it seems that all your hard-earned money is just making Facebook, Google, Nextdoor, Tiktok, and all those other platforms even richer.
I still feel this way sometimes, and it's natural.
But just because you don't get a lead on the first day doesn't mean that the campaign you set up is a dud.
Depending on your platform, budget, location, offer, campaign setup, and so on, it might just need a little more time.
What I always look for are benchmarks, rather than time limits.
Let's say that you have a budget of $20/day. That may only get you 1000 impressions, and in hyper-competitive markets, that can even be much less.
For the artificial grass and landscaping niches, we usually look at a first benchmark of $50, and in competitive markets, $70.
The goal will always be to bring these cost per leads down, but as a starting point to test a campaign, those work.
Your niche might be lower (say for pressure washing) or much higher (like solar), but before turning off a campaign, look at what industry averages for leads are.
If you're in my niche, you can just use what I have above, but if you're not, then you may have to ask someone who is currently advertising to get a high-level idea.
However, if you're in a local service-based company and it's been over 5 days or you've spent over $200, then it may be a good sign that the campaign isn't working.
If you'd like to learn more about how to run ads that get results within a few days (and often the same day), then let me know!
Have a blessed day and happy scaling
