Maybe that’s the real spirit worth holding onto. So, show up as who you are, and what you are, and take care of each other out there.

Today, the Desert Stages Theatre family lost a beloved member.

For many years, Michael Lev was a constant presence at Desert Stages. A familiar face, a warm smile, and a genuine friend to so many. Whether you knew him for years or were simply welcomed by him when attending a performance, Michael made you feel at home.

His love for this community touched so many, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our thoughts are with Michael’s family, friends, and everyone whose life was enriched by his presence.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our longtime friend Michael Lev. From stage management to Box Office staff, Michael fiercely supported DST and we will be forever grateful for the impact he made on us all.

In his memory, donations in Michael’s memory can be sent to a cancer or AIDS treatment or research center of your choice. ❤️

A pillar of the Valley’s arts and theatre communities, and truly one of the original arts publicists in Phoenix, Laura Durant helped shape and elevate the cultural landscape for decades. We are deeply saddened to hear of her passing and grateful for the remarkable legacy she leaves behind through the artists, organizations, and audiences she championed throughout her career. To all who are grieving this loss, please know we are grieving alongside you.
