Peoples Media Advocacy Asia, USA Bureau, LLC PMAA, USA Bureau, LLC base in Phx, AZ provides assistance to Filipino Community/Migrant and workers

Peoples' Media Advocacy Asia (PMAA) was founded in 2015 with a mission to build a grassroots social media network for labor groups, providing a platform to air their campaigns and advocate for human rights in the workplace. PMAA is committed to producing labor journalism and independent media on labor issues often overlooked by mainstream media. Recognizing the need for broader influence and empowerment through social media, PMAA evolved, especially after one of its board members migrated to the United States. This led to the establishment of PMAA, USA Bureau, LLC, with a dedicated mission to reach the Filipino American community and share their stories. Through its flagship social media program, Profile Overseas Diaries, PMAA USA Bureau has been producing and releasing monthly episodes on YouTube. Now in its third season, the program has created over 64 videos, telling more than 30 inspiring stories of Filipino Americans and their journeys.

What happens when the storyteller becomes the story?
Years ago, Maricel Burgonio and I shared a newsroom in the Philippines, where our work revolved around finding and telling the stories of others.
Years later, our paths crossed again—this time thousands of miles away in Turin, Italy.
A lot has changed in Maricel’s life. She left the newsroom, adapted to a new country, and built a new chapter far from home. But some things never really leave us.
For Maricel, it’s the journalist within her—the instinct to listen, observe, ask questions, and discover the stories of people around her.

FROM TURIN TO GERMANY, TWO FILIPINA STORIES ARE ABOUT TO UNFOLD.

One spent years telling other people's stories — until she found herself beginning a new chapter of her own.

The other turned her own journey and experiences into a purpose that continues to reach communities beyond borders.

Meet MARICEL BURGONIO and EDESSA RAMOS in the upcoming episode of PROFILE OVERSEAS DIARIES – SEASON 4.

Two women.
Two different journeys.
One shared reminder:

NO MATTER HOW FAR LIFE TAKES US, WE NEVER REALLY LEAVE BEHIND THE STORIES THAT MADE US WHO WE ARE.

COMING SOON.

PROFILE OVERSEAS DIARIES
THE JOURNEY. THE PASSION. THE PURPOSE.
ANOTHER STORY TO TELL.
