To quote the great Aaliyah, "if at first you don't succeed, you dust yourself off and try again."

What was supposed to come last week is now here. Today, I nervously release the first single "Mask Of The Sun" into the ears of the collective. The algorithms will now do their dance and it is my hope that this song can find its way to any ears who may find this music meaningful or compelling. There will be three more singles to follow and the full album "Cowboy Dream" will be coming soon as they say.

"Mask Of The Sun" comes from a very old memory. When I was about four years old, I made a sun mask out of a paper plate with my father and we did some type of music and dance for the Winter Solstice. When I started losing my father to dementia, this image of the sun on my face became much more meaningful. This symbol became a portal into that memory of candle lit song and dance and a vessel to hold on to my father, though that connection was fleeting.

Symbolically, I could remake this sun mask and use its light to navigate any darkness that may arise.
This music would not be what it is without my amazing community.

A Huge shoutout to and for the sonic magic bringing this music to life. Additional shoutout to these amazing musicians who contributed their talents to this track on vocals, on synths, .Iloyd on trumpets, and on drums. I also want to deeply thank and
for all of their help in getting this work into the world.
