Your page is an asset. Your website is an investment.

There's one big difference.

You own one of them.

Social media is a powerful way to connect with customers, but you don't control the platform. An algorithm change, an account issue, or even a temporary suspension can instantly reduce your visibility.

Your website is different.

It's the digital asset you own. It's where customers learn about your services, read your Google reviews and testimonials, see your work, and decide whether they trust your business.

It's also the foundation for your search visibility. A well-optimized website helps your business appear in Google Search, AI Overviews, and AI search platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini because it gives search engines the information they need to understand your expertise.

Social media helps people discover you.

Your website helps them choose you.

The strongest businesses don't build their marketing on rented platforms.

They build it on digital assets they own.

If your page disappeared tomorrow, would customers still be able to find your business?

Is posting videos enough to get your law firm found on Google?

Posting consistently is a great start, but hitting “publish” and hoping the right people find your videos isn’t a strategy.

The way you optimize each video can make a major difference in whether it gets discovered.

Your title, description, script, transcript, and the search terms you build the video around all help Google understand what your content is about and when it may be relevant to someone searching for that information.

So yes, keep posting, but if you want those videos working harder for your firm, make sure there’s a search strategy behind them.

And if you’re relying entirely on organic traffic? Give it time. Search visibility is built, not flipped on overnight.

Google has been testing a change to search results this summer, and last week it started rolling it out more broadly.

Law firms probably won’t notice much of a difference, but SEO tools might.

Google has started routing more organic search results through a google.com/goto link before sending someone to the website they clicked on. For potential clients searching for an attorney, not much changes. They click your firm and still reach your website.

But behind the scenes, this change could make it harder for SEO tools to track the websites appearing in Google search results. Some SEO platforms have already updated how they collect this data.

Does this mean your law firm’s rankings are suddenly changing? No, but it is another reminder not to judge your marketing by rankings alone. Rankings matter, but so do website traffic, Google visibility, AI visibility, leads, and new clients.

Search keeps changing, and the way law firms measure results needs to keep up. Want to know how visible your law firm really is online? Schedule a conversation with our team.

Your website makes promises. Your reviews prove you keep them.

That's why Google reviews are about much more than earning five stars.

Every Google review, testimonial, and update to your Google Business Profile strengthens your online reputation. Together, these trust signals help potential customers feel confident choosing your business—and help search engines and AI search platforms understand that your business is active, credible, and relevant.

Content creates awareness.

Reviews create trust.

Businesses with consistent, recent reviews often earn stronger local SEO, better online visibility, and more opportunities to be recommended because they're continually reinforcing their digital credibility.

If you're investing time in creating content but neglecting your reviews, you're overlooking one of the most valuable trust signals your business can build.

The businesses that earn the most trust don't just ask for reviews.

They make Google reviews and customer testimonials part of their long-term marketing strategy.

When was the last time your business received a new Google review?

Your firm's first impression isn't made when someone calls your office. It's made the moment they search for legal help.

Before someone becomes your client, they have to find you.

That's why SEO, your Google Business Profile, reviews, AI search, and educational content all work together. They're not separate marketing strategies—they're all helping prospective clients discover and evaluate your firm.

As Jeff Harvey explains in this video, it all starts with visibility.

If people can't find your firm, nothing else in your marketing has a chance to work.

💬 When someone searches for your firm today, what kind of first impression are they getting?

Your website isn't the only thing Google is evaluating anymore.

Every review you earn, every update to your Google Business Profile, every piece of content you publish, and every consistent mention of your business across the web sends a trust signal.

Those signals help search engines—and AI platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini—decide whether your business is credible enough to recommend.

That's why two businesses offering the same service can have completely different online visibility.

One has built trust across its entire digital presence.

The other has simply built a website.

If you're wondering why your competitors are showing up first, don't just ask whether your website is optimized. Ask whether your business is consistently sending the right trust signals everywhere customers—and AI—are looking.

If you searched for your business today, what would customers find first?

Can your business be successful without TikTok?

Absolutely.

I think too many business owners feel pressured to jump on every new platform because they don't want to get left behind.

But here's the thing... if your customers are finding you through Google, Facebook, YouTube, referrals, or email, spending hours trying to become a TikTok creator probably isn't your highest ROI.

Every platform asks for something different. TikTok rewards a completely different style of content than Facebook or YouTube. If you don't have the time—or the desire—to create that kind of content, that's okay.

The goal isn't to be everywhere. The goal is to be where your customers are.

That's a strategy. Chasing every trend isn't.

The customers you attract are often a reflection of the marketing you put into the world.

If your inbox is full of people looking for the cheapest option, it may not be a pricing problem. It may be a positioning problem.

Before someone ever contacts your business, they've already started deciding whether they see you as the lowest-cost option or the best choice for the job. That decision is shaped by everything they find online—your website, your reviews, your content, your branding, and the way you communicate your expertise.

Every piece of marketing sends a signal. It tells potential customers whether your business competes on price or on value.

When your marketing focuses only on what you do, prospects compare you on cost.

When your marketing demonstrates your expertise, showcases real results, and builds trust before the first conversation, you attract customers who are looking for the right partner—not just the lowest quote.

The goal isn't to convince everyone to choose your business.

It's to give the right customers a reason to believe you're worth the investment.

What's one thing your business does better than your competitors—and are you making that clear online?
