Question we hear a lot at the lab: "What size should I print this?" 🛋️

Here's the easy version. Over a sofa, go about 2/3 the sofa's width. Over a bed, about 2/3 the headboard. For an entryway console, keep it a little narrower than the table. Planning a gallery wall? Tape the whole layout on the wall with painter's tape first and live with it for a day.

Printing something as a holiday gift? Sneak a measurement of their wall first. It makes all the difference.

Then we print a proof, hold it right next to your painting and adjust the color until it matches. Our quick checklist before you bring a piece in for giclée reproduction:
• Make sure it's completely dry
• Take it out of the frame (glass causes glare)
• Clean up any smudges or edges
• Add your signature the way you want it on every print
• Digital artists: bring the full-size original file

Quick question we get all the time: “How big can I print this?” 📸

If it’s straight off your phone (a typical 12MP shot), you can print around 13×10" razor-sharp, and 20×15" or larger still looks great on a wall. People view big prints from a few feet back, not nose-to-glass.

The one thing that makes the biggest difference: use the original photo, not a screenshot or a copy saved from Facebook or Instagram. Those get compressed and lose detail.
