Arena Time 🏇
Some of our good friends at Dark Horse Horsemanship contacted us about a project of theirs a new covered arena measuring 200x100ft.

We went in and stripped away topsoil and debris from the excavation site being the structural fill dirt was going to be extracted onsite and then stripped the arena site of organics and topsoil down to structural dirt.

We cut and balanced approximately 700 yards on the arena site with what material that could be graded out to maintain the set entrance height for the front and then we moved in an additional 2520 cubic yards on to site from our extraction point further away on the farm.

Pad was placed on grade
Swells installed were needed for proper drainage
Extracted topsoil was placed back over extraction site and slopes to help with grass growth and stabilization of the area.
We will be back in the following weeks after the building is completed to put sand down for the horses footing.

Time to Drive !!

Got a new near 1000ft driveway completed.
* Cleared 1/3 acre of pine trees for access from road.
* Went in and stripped the topsoil and stored it onsite for slop stabilization and contouring.
* Graded in the driveway and swell for drainage
* Installed Geotextile fabric under crusher run
* Installed a multiple culverts
1x 18in x 40ft culvert pipe.
1x 30in x 40ft culvert pipe
1x 12in x 40ft culvert pipe
* Placed riprap around pipe outlets
* Put riprap periodically along drainage swell as check dams to help slow sedimentary erosion
* Place topsoil along the sides of driveway
* Harley raked topsoil for a finish surface.

Hauled in 29 loads of dirt for grade elevation and for culvert pipe installation
Hauled in 10 loads of crusher run (200ton)
Hauled in 1 load of construction stone for entrance.

Putting sunshine on the ground !!

Removed Trees and Vegetation
Stacked into piles to process with shear
All debris mulched on site with a horizontal mulcher.
Moved a 120 off road truck loads of mulch onsite to corner of property for storage and later use in erosion control by property owner
Raked property with loader to remove any remaining roots and sticks that remained.

Here’s a recent site we got done with
A new near 1 acre RV/Boat storage site
We stripped off nearly 600ton of topsoil and hauled it offsite.
We graded it to site.
Hauled in 8 loads of red dirt in to balance site
Compacted dirt.
Hauled in 500ton (25 loads) of double ground asphalt millings
Compacted the asphalt millings with a smooth drum roller.

Time to get your driveway out of the mud before family comes over for the holidays. 🎄✝️
Got a 1800ft driveway done for these new homeowners
We graded and did 500ft of new construction driveway going to there shop
Graded and corrected runoff and
Resurfaced 1300ft of existing driveway with crusher run to cover up there older rough driveway and create a smooth entrance for them.

Total of
220ton of crusher run
100ton of 3-4in concrete construction stone

Field is Ready to plant !!
Different project that doesn’t come around often, as our area is becoming more urbanized.
The owners of this property had an area were their relatives used to raise pigs for the market, they wanted to utilize the vacant concrete slab left over from the pig farm and the field area below the slab had a the remains of a old farm pond that they wanted done away with.
We came in and stripped the area around the concrete pad to allow for proper drainage and to provide for sufficient area as they build their new barn atop the concrete. We graded about a 2 acre area of the field and collapsed the remnants of the old pond dam, finally coming along and harley raking the field to have a smoother surface and to prepare for replanting of grass.
The farmer says he plans to plant it this weekend and hopefully have more cows in this field by spring.
We also asphalted around the inlet of a 24in drainage pipe to stabilize the area were it had excessive amounts of water coming in to

Had a new homeowner ask us to help them with the construction of their new homes foundation and basement.
Turned out great took out an estimated 500 cubic yards of fill from the basement site.
Graded it to the desired floor plans.

New Parking lot !!
Went to a local business who had drainage problems after the construction of their new shop.
We cut up to 12in of dirt off the site to make the runoff drain properly.
We stripped the crusher run base off stocked it onsite, cut the dirt sub-base to grade.
Placed crusher run base back over sub-base and surfaced the top with 57 gravel for better drainage.

Make Straight the path Ahead!!
Cleared a right away 40ft wide x 2,600ft along the road edge for the new sewer line coming thru.
We had to place a safety zone along the road to help protect traffic and to assist with the timeline of this project.
Took approximately
1,000 yards cu yards of debris off site
Ranging from stumps, logs, and brush.
