Layne Thomas William Manion, AKA Miracle Man, came into this world 3 months early, March 16, 2016, weighing 1 lb 11 oz. Layne had to be brought back to life on the 3rd day of his life. After 7 months, 9 surgeries, and many more near-death experiences we brought Miracle Man home on 10/21/16. We have many challenges ahead because of his short gut (56cm of small intestine), paralyzed left vocal cord

, chronic lung disease, and cerebral palsy. We rely on a feeding pump 100% for our nutrition and we have therapy 7 times per week. We could not be more excited to have our sweet boy home, he is so much fun! We are forever grateful to God, our Cook Children's doctors, surgeons, nurses, respiratory therapists, and our Chaplain for saving our son's life. So this brings me to my business (Miracle Man) Marketing. I ran a 7 million dollar territory for Sherwin Williams, I worked for them for 10 1/2 years. When I had Layne, I knew I had to find something I could do and care for him at the same time. I am his mom and nurse. In 2017, I decided to start using my Bachelors degree in Marketing for family doing sales and marketing for their businesses. In November 2019, I made the decision to open my business up to the public. We offer a one-stop-shop for all your marketing needs! Julia Roberts recently opened her heart about growing older, and her words touched many.
She smiled when she said,
I am aging with dignity, with humor, with peace.
She shared that she chooses not to chase youth. No lifting. No Botox. She knows in Hollywood that could cost her roles, but she said if a role passes her by because she looks older, then she will simply create her own project and decide who belongs in it. She refuses to let her reflection decide her worth.
Julia explained that she has seen real struggle in the world.
She said she knows mothers who work day and night to keep the lights on, parents who worry about feeding their families, women who keep moving forward even when life feels heavy.
Those are the people she calls beautiful.
Her voice softened when she spoke about her biggest fear.
It is not getting older.
It is her children.
She said she fears not being able to shield them from people who might harm them or take advantage of them.
She shared that her happiness lives inside the quiet moments at home.
Breakfast with her husband and kids.
Talking and laughing before the day begins.
She called those mornings magical because that is where love lives.
Julia is grateful for her life. Grateful for her family.
She believes the most important thing is not how we look, but who we are when the lights are off and the cameras are gone.
How beautiful it is to be fully present in this life without being measured by youth or perfection.
We are valuable because of our hearts, not our faces.
