I am trained with a Master's degree in medical illustration (University of Illinois, Chicago) and a Bachelor's degree with a double major in zoology and fine art (University of California, Berkeley). My proclivity for art was a no-brainer, as I grew up with a mother who painted watercolors. As a science illustrator, I have been able to combine my love of the living world with a drive to document i
t. I am perpetually entranced by combinations of color, form, and light as they work in the natural world. Awards, clients, and collectors include the National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Massachusetts Audubon Society, Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, Association of Medical Illustrators, the National Parks Academy for the Arts, and the American Academy of Equine Art. My science murals can be found across the US from Hawaii to Alaska. Fine art pieces have reached Europe and Australia.
