We were honored again this year to create veteran trading cards for a "Forever Young Veterans" celebration honoring the service members of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Forever Young Veterans is a non profit that raises money to fund programs such as "Trip of Honor", providing return trips to battleground locations and ceremonies where there are memorials and celebrations in their honor and "Wish of Honor", which fulfills veteran wishes such as finding a long lost service buddy, throwing out an MLB pitch or an end of life request for a final flight in a B-17. I hope we can continue being a part of this tradition for years to come. These are some of the cards we did this year as well as an amazing photo of 99 year-old Alan Shapiro, a WWII Air Corps fighter Pilot, holding one of his cards.

Last year we illustrated a fun tee design for Costanza's Stone Tavern, showcasing their wildly popular Stone House Stones...delicious bread nuggets rolled in seasonings and baked with gooey cheese and crusted parmesan. The shirt was a hit, so we're back at it this year to celebrate the stones and a spooky side-cauldron of dipping sauce for the Halloween season.

We love working with JFCS! They had a vision for an illustration to showcase the Squirrel Hill Food Pantry and it's important role in lifting the community. From the mock-up image they sent, to the custom illustration we presented, everything fell into place. They loved it & we had fun doing it...win-win.

It really never gets old. When you see the finished product packaging that you worked on, its still as exciting as the first time you caught a glimpse of your work on TV or store shelves. This one is a little bitter sweet. Its the last project we completed with Franco Harris before his passing. We had discussed trying the samples and he loved both the product and the packaging...and couldn't wait for it to hit the shelves. I'm not sure of the distribution channels just yet, but I will keep you posted as the team at Super Bakery & AdeNation carry on Franco's tradition of awesome products and caring for athletes. #32

It's POLL Time! Your feedback is greatly appreciated. FDC was working with Franco Harris and Dr. Pete (Peter Bordi, the Penn State Athletics Nutritionist Emeritus) on packaging for a plant-based protein powder. I'm happy to report that the Super Bakery team is pushing forward through this difficult time. The demographic for this product is mostly women, vegans, naturalists, and other health fanatics who are looking more for a healthy protein/meal supplement and NOT for "bulking up" or gains. Option 1 is a variation of their existing non-vegan athlete's formula. Options 2-4 are new, based on the new demographic. So, if you are a member of the demographic mentioned above, please comment on which Option would appeal to you the most.
