I finally made it to my first NASCAR race. I’ve played NASCAR video games since ‘95, collected die-cast, built models and of course watched races on TV. I am not exactly sure how it got into it but I think a big part of it was the cars with the paint schemes and the logos everywhere. The boys and I had never been to a race but Heather Naretto has been to her fair share back in the day. We wanted to get the family to a race!

So obviously over the past couple years the boys have gotten into it as well. We surprised them with a trip to Richmond Raceway for Christmas and boy did we have a good time! They each got to meet and get the autograph of their favorite driver and Ders’ favorite driver even won!
