On Tuesday, September 22, students in RSB Professor Starz's "Introduction to Entrepreneurship" course welcomed Antonio Bjorges as a guest speaker. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about Bjorges' life, education, and career.

Bjorges is a Masters in Engineering Technology & Innovation Management student at Carnegie Mellon University. He has founded three different start-up companies across various disciplines, including tech, e-commerce, and project management.

Last week, students part of our Pens Events Team attended an Intro Meeting with SAEM Alum Matt Uzar, Manager of Event Production and Hospitality for the Pittsburgh Penguins. 🌟

Students who attended are Isaiah Harris, Marissa Butcher, Saylor Royal, Karen Sylvia, and Cooper Slocum.

The Pens Events Team pairs students with Pittsburgh penguins staff, giving them experience working real-world events, such as special game nights and corporate events. 👏🐧

The Student Accounting Association held its first meeting of the fall semester last week, welcoming students back to campus and reconnecting after the summer. Students shared internship and experiential learning experiences, including SAA President Sam Alawadhi's IT Audit internship with Deloitte, Zach Millard's financial accounting internship, and Regan Shroyer's work with the Accelerated Career Awareness Program, helping high school students explore accounting careers. 🌟

We were also pleased to welcome Dean Jolin from the Professional Career Readiness Center. It was great to see the enthusiasm and excitement as students returned to campus, and we look forward to a successful year ahead! 👏👏

Open to current RSB students and those who are undecided but may be interested in a business major, the RSB Open House will take place on Thursday, September 24th, from 04:30 PM to 06:00 PM in the Michael P. Pitterich Sales & Innovation Center (1st Floor of West Penn Hall).
