Even superheroes bleed.

You don't just love when it works for you.
You LOVE when you're dying inside.

All the self-help books and gurus say: Take care of yourself.

SET BOUNDARIES, but how do you do that when you're taking care of people who are ill physically or mentally?

And if you drop the ball, will there be serious consequences?

Nope.

So you're TRAPPED in life, but you're falling apart.

And you don't even see it.

or you see it and don't know how to stop it.

But stop it you must or RISK LOSING your physical and financial health.

Maybe you've got an unsupportive or unavailable partner.

Maybe you're an only child like me.

Maybe you've got chronic health issues out the ass.

But you MUST START TO SEE that you may be one health crisis away from losing it all like some of my clients and I did.

And choose the ROAD LESS TRAVELED.

When I was 21 years old and pronounced disabled for life, I had to find ALTERNATIVE ways to get my body to work so I could work.

Being disabled was never something I wanted to "be."

I hail from a long line of worker bees who put serving others ahead of their well-being.

That's how I know there's probably no one LOOKING OUT FOR YOU.

And that in and of itself is depressing.

See, you LIGHT DOESN'T GO OUT all at once.

So, notice the early warning signs, my love.

Because no one else will.

Looking out for you is your "job," too.

Because no one is coming to save you.

Unless you reach beyond the lies, lack, and limits of the mental health and health systems we've been SOLD on.

Because He can save you.

Redeem you.

No matter how lost.

but MAKE NO MISTAKE...

The time for a Road Less Traveled is now before you break like we did.

Getting help isn't weakness.

it's a success STRATEGY.

Turning away from broken systems is what my team and I have been helping people do for four decades.

We know what it's like to fall between the cracks in those systems.

I just sent this to someone I love.

It's like some of the things I do with my clients.

Maybe it will help you and someone you love, too.

That's my deepest prayer...

That pain of yesterday becomes the WAY

The WAY for you to rise from the ashes of loss and radical change

So here's the homework I sent her:

"I've been meaning to send this to you.

Warning:

This song CONNECTS you to beloveds on the "other" side.

It came to me after a long season of loss and revival after long long COVID, so I've been using it to help clients trust their innate design.

SET A TIMER for 60-minutes of replay.

Be prepared to cry.

To soar.

To feel your beloveds as close as the branches of the trees.

FEEL all the LOVE "as if" it's all still here...because it is.

Give thanks...

Who you are now because of their LOVE.

Then, TURN YOUR ATTENTION to the pain for 20 minutes.

Don't be afraid to FEEL your way back to life...

But ---

Don't let grief take you under like it did me and many leaders I've served when we were in DARK, DARK, DARK nights of the soul.

Learn how to SWAY like a palm tree in the wind.

I never ever ever ever want you to have to go through the pain of losing someone you LOVE then losing your way like I did.

That's what I call IN the world and OF THE WORLD.

I AM GRATEFUL for this fourth comeback from disability.

There's so much I want to share with you..
sometimes it's hard to chunk it down.

Anyway...
When the timer goes off.

STand up FAST.

Walk to another room.

Put a jacket on or just walk out the door and
touch the earth,

feel the wind,

look up at the sky.

Because we NEVER die in the way man teaches us.

We are always only ever ENERGY.

I reviewed her talk and sales positioning...

Monday, I met with a speaker in the Pittsburgh area.

She's pretty well known, so privacy is always my priority...

I was doing a review of her talk and positioning.

And I'd also like to share a couple of GOLD nuggets with you.

#1: She had lost her mother a couple of years ago.

#2: Her usual closing rates have declined even after spending big bucks getting feedback from an "expert."

#3: She had spent 72K trying to "fix" her sales problem.

As an intuitive, I understood why she felt like an imposter.

She wasn't herself.

when she lost someone she LOVED

She shattered into a million pieces.

Just like my clients and I did.

When you're a high-performing leader for DECADES while taking care of multitudes at home and work...

You can spend a lot of money fixing the wrong problem.

My GENIUS has always been pulling leaders "pieces" back together into a new identity.

Sure rebranding is important,

but the FIRST STEP is always retrieving the pieces of you.

She thought she had a sales block.

She had an IDENTITY block.

She had all the right talking points.

Her slides were EXQUISITE.

The lights were on, but SHE wasn't home.

She had lost so much of her natural magnetism...that she was forced to sell her "thing"

And that's all I'll say about it for privacy's sake.

She was INVISIBLE.

She looked and sounded LIKE EVERYONE ELSE selling that thing.

She said she felt like an imposter.

I said: Trust yourself.

You are.

it's HUMAN to lose your sense of self after loss.

Get the right kind of help is what saves you money, but it also saves your life.

When you've been a high-performer from a wee age...these things hit you much harder.

You have to evolve your identity.

Get clear on your personal story not just your brand story.

They're not buying your "thing."

They're buying a RELATIONSHIP with you

& the adventure you're taking them on to reach their goals.

ASK WHO AM I & WHAT DO I WANT in this season of my life?

Don't "just" focus on who THEY are and what THEY want.

You GET TO repurpose your pain of loss...

Not just "get over it."

But we can choose to love, honor, and devote our lives to bringing the best of them into our work.

A toxic business partner's effect on sales can't be ignored...

You CAN'T put new wine in OLD skins.

That's why niching is so hard for creative beings.

One of my clients is in a relationship with a woman who triggers him every time he's about to launch.

He says: It's like she's trying to sabotage me.

I said "like?"

Like many of my clients over four decades, he's had failed marketing launches that add up to 100-200K.

Like therapists and doctors I trained as a hypnotherapist...

He wasn't "ill" as much as he was

IN-BETWEEN IDENTITIES.

Prior to that he never had an ADHD diagnosis.

He's got a long history of being a high-performer, successful leader and entrepreneur.

Maybe like him, you developed ADHD as a trauma response?

When his business partner abandoned ship, he was forced to save the business or go bankrupt.

When he told me how he fled a toxic boss a few years before.

I knew he didn't have a marketing & sales problem.

He had an IDENTITY BLOCK.

Financial betrayal plus family abandonment is the PERFECT STORM.
