Working alongside a reality TV crew was a different experience — but here’s what I can tell you…
• Yes, this was a real wedding.
• Yes, we ran behind schedule because producing a TV show is a lot and a wedding is a lot. (Film crew confirmed: this is normal when weddings are being filmed.) The wedding pros, however? We were not cool with that — which is exactly why everyone stepped up.
• Yes, it was stressful at times… but did the couple really notice? No. Because they had a large, experienced team of professionals protecting them from the chaos. That’s what great wedding pros do best.
• Yes, all guests were informed ahead of time that filming would take place and signed releases.
• And yes… those TV cameras? LARGE.
• Space requirements are significantly larger. We had a full production “camp” set up with monitors, cables, and crew stations.
• The flow of the day looked different than what we’re used to, but everyone did their jobs — and did them well. It was a career-defining moment for many of us, and most importantly, the couple and their guests still had an incredible wedding and an unforgettable night.
A time was had. 🫶🏼
