Crystal is a gifted poet and writer, a visionary entrepreneur, and a community leader whose impact can be felt throughout Portland and beyond. But for those of us who have the opportunity to work alongside her, her leadership is also found in the everyday moments.

She leads with an unwavering belief in the mission of Press Release Marketing and an equally strong belief in the people around her. She makes space for growth, extends understanding when it is needed, and approaches colleagues, contractors, and clients with a generosity that encourages each of us to become better at what we do.

We see the passion she brings to her work, the care she brings to her relationships, and the commitment she brings to the communities she serves.

For the Center for Black Excellence’s Black Educator Table Talk + Parent Kickoff, the goal wasn’t simply to host a mixer. It was to create a welcoming space where Black parents and educators could connect, share what they’re experiencing, and weigh in on the initiatives, policies, curriculum and resources that impact Black students.

In partnership with the CBE team, and ORABSE, Press Release Marketing helped bring that vision to life—from invitations and guest communications to signage, florals and room details; coordinating catering with Kitchen Killa Culinary Solutions Culinary Solutions; supporting the w**e selections; and creating interactive opportunities for guests to share what they need and what matters most.

Good event planning isn’t just about how a room looks, it’s about how people feel, engage and contribute once they’re in it.

Grateful to help create the atmosphere for an important conversation. 🥂💜

🔥 KITCHEN KILLA BROUGHT THE FIRE TO EPICENTER WEEK! 🔥

Chef Kiara Hardy and the Kitchen Killa Culinary Solutions Culinary Solutions team were honored to represent FIRE during the Forces of Nature Rose Table Dinner; serving the final course of an unforgettable culinary experience at the beautiful Portland Japanese Garden.

Beyond the plate, Chef Kiara had the opportunity to share why women’s sports are personal to her and why she’s excited to see Portland continue to establish itself as a global epicenter for women’s sports. 🏀⚽️🔥

She also chopped it up with ESPN’s Andraya Carter 🥰

Special thanks to RAJ Sports, Travel Portland, the Portland Thorns FC and Portland Fire for creating a week that brought sports, food, culture and community together.

And a HUGE shoutout to Rindi Cerelli for the vision and planning that transformed the Japanese Garden into an incredible space for dining, conversation and connection. Angela D. Nelson we appreciate you too.

Be someone they can trust to give thoughtful, constructive feedback when they need it. Every entrepreneur needs people in their corner who will encourage the vision while still being honest about opportunities to improve. The “yes” men and women can sit this one out. 🥱

And when growth happens, celebrate it. Acknowledge the milestones, big and small, and remind business owners to recognize how far they’ve come, too. When you’re focused on what’s next, it can be easy to overlook what you’ve already accomplished. 🙌🏾

Our Founder + CEO Crystal Chanel -The MOC attended the inaugural EmpowHER Awards, presented by Kaiser Permanente and hosted by the Portland Thorns FC and Portland Fire during .

The evening celebrated women and girls throughout our region who are leading, advocating, serving their communities and helping build what comes next.

As a member of the Her Voice Council, we are proud to have a seat at the table as our city helps shape the future of women’s sports.

So much of ’ work is about helping people and organizations understand the power of visibility, telling their stories, taking up space, building relationships and making sure their perspectives are represented where decisions are being made.

And there is something powerful about that. Being invited into the room is one thing, but knowing you belong there is another.

Congratulations to the inaugural honorees and to RAJ Sports, the Portland Thorns, Portland Fire and Kaiser Permanente for creating a space that celebrates women and girls who are changing our community.

There’s nothing quite like watching a strategy become a room full of people. 🖤

For the launch of Black Earth United’s Field Theory Collection, Press Release Marketing served as the marketing and communications partner, working alongside founder and designer Jocelyn Rice to take the event from concept to launch.

From marketing strategy, PR and media outreach to event planning, digital campaigns, vendor communications and guest experience, we helped build the infrastructure around the vision.

And the work delivered:
137+ RSVPs,
a KGW Hello, Rose City! appearance,
a room full of community, and
an evening where guests came to connect, shop, celebrate the artisans and experience Black Earth United in person.
