Your bio is prime real estate - but most small business owners treat it like an afterthought. A cute tagline might sound nice, but if it doesn’t tell people what to do next, you’re missing an opportunity. In less than 10 seconds, a visitor decides whether to stick around, scroll, or click away. That means your bio has to work fast.
Instead of cramming it full of emojis or generic phrases, think of your bio like a mini pitch with a purpose. Tell people who you help, how you help them, and (most importantly) what they should do next. Whether that’s “Book a free consult,” “Grab the free guide,” or “Shop the latest drops,” a clear call-to-action can be the difference between a casual viewer and a paying customer.
Then, make sure your link actually matches that call-to-action. If your bio says “Grab the free guide,” your link better take them straight to it - not a random webpage or a Linktree with 12 options. Always give your link
