Conference culture can be a trap.

Mark Hirschi used to show up to industry events and get pulled into the party:

Late nights.
Rough mornings.
Missing the sessions he came for.

Then he made a shift:

5am. Gym.
Office.
Prepared.

"You just have to get in there and do it."
