THE FIRST THING TO BUY AFTER YOUR COLOR ANALYSIS 🌈

After a Color Analysis, most people feel like they should reserve their best colors (aka the “wows”) for fancy clothes.

And there’s nothing wrong with that, but…

My #1 tip after a Color Analysis appointment is to get a robe or pajamas in one of your best colors.

Why?

Because even if you’ve just crawled out of bed, with no makeup on and sleep in your eyes, having one of your best colors near your face will give you an instant glow up! ✨

And hey, while you’re at it, get yourself some comfy lounge clothes in those wows too!

WHAT IS A COLOR RERATE?

If it’s been a few years since your Color Analysis or you’ve significantly changed your hair color, a Color Rerate appointment might be in order!

We’ll redo the ratings process, determining your wow colors, best dark neutral(s) and subseason(s).

Your season won’t change, but your sweet spot within it might.

Take the case of my gorgeous Autumn client Georgi, who had let her hair grow out grey when she originally saw me for Color Analysis.

After she dyed her hair to a rich warm brown (perfect for an Autumn!), she wanted to see if her wow colors changed.

We found that some of them stayed the same, while some dropped off and some newer, more vibrant ones were added.

Her subseasons slightly shifted too, reflecting that change. She went from being a Leaf Blue Autumn to a Vibrant Blue Autumn.

Four words: DON’T SKIP THE LIP!!! 💄

Wearing a lip color in your seasonal palette instantly brings balance to the lower half of your face, shifts the focus to your eyes, and truly pulls everything together!

Each season has its three pints of red, three families of lip colors that harmonize with your season:

☀️ Cool red/burgundy, rosy pink, plum pink
🍁 Warm red, coral, rust
❄️ Cool red, burgundy, bright pink
🌷 Warm red, warm pink, coral

And for my Chapstick-loving girlies, it does not have to be a red lipstick, as even a tinted balm of gloss will do the trick. 💋

(But if you’ve been to my studio, I’ve probably encouraged you to try on your best red lipstick, because I promise that everyone has one! 😉)
