La Casa Dominicana NJ proudly celebrates Mother's Day and strengthens Latin culture in Atlantic City
On Friday, May 15, 2026, the Latino community of Atlantic City came together in an heartfelt celebration organized by La Casa Dominicana of New Jersey to honor mothers and reinforce the cultural bonds that unite us. This traditional event, featuring music, artistic performances, cultural activities, refreshments, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, was a beautiful tribute to the love and sacrifice of the mothers in our community.
During the event, certificates of recognition were awarded to exemplary mothers, including the beloved Kirsis Núñez, who was honored for her qualities as a mother and her commitment to the community. The organization thanks Ana Salas for recommending this outstanding mother, as well as all sponsors, including CRDA, AC Multicultural Services, and “Delicias del Cielo” Bakery, for their valuable support and collaboration in making this event possible.
The celebration also featured the talented group Joyas de Honduras, who delighted attendees with a beautiful performance filled with joy, culture, and tradition. Additionally, Roque Benjamín delivered an outstanding artistic presentation that further enriched the day.
The Society Page / SPNewspaper expressed gratitude for this wonderful event, which allowed us to showcase a bit of Latin traditions in South New Jersey.
