I want to share a helpful hit! If you have a buck you are wanting to cape out for a mount. Do not just put bags of ice in it! Get some two liter bottles and freeze them and put those in your deer. The reason behind this as you see in this picture the deers face is so swollen with water (from the ice melting) bc it had no where to go. You might think why didn’t it go out the nose or mouth. Sometimes when gutting all the heart and lungs don’t get remove and when that happens it will cause a blockage then the water has no where to go. this could ruin your head! We were able to save this head! Thank god by hanging the head upside down and pushing all the water out. It was a slow process.

If you are a regular that have processed with us over the years. Make sure you let us know when you are calling so we try to fit you in to our busy schedule with processing the deer. I will feel horrible if I send you away bc we are full and you been a commmitted customer to us!!!!! For all the new ones it will be until tuesday or wednesday before we are gonna be opening back up to take more deer! 🦌
