One of our favorite ideas from a blog we wrote a few years ago:

Allyship doesn't need to be complicated. It just needs to be genuine.

Pride Month is a great time to celebrate LGBTQ+ voices, stories, and communities. It's also a good reminder that inclusion isn't something you turn on for 30 days and then pack away until next year.

The strongest organizations don't just talk about belonging. They build it.

Happy Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈

A brand refresh doesn't change who you are; it helps people finally see you clearly.

What started as a video project for Outreach Development Corporation (ODC) became something bigger: a refreshed brand, an updated website, and a storytelling system designed to better reflect the warmth and impact behind their work.

Affordable housing isn't just about buildings, it's about people and community. One of the most meaningful parts of this project was helping ODC tell their story in a way that felt human, clear, and true to who they already were.

Good branding isn’t decoration. It’s alignment. ✨

Oh my , it’s Accessibility Awareness Day!

And listen…accessibility is one of those things people say they care about until it’s time to actually do the work 😅

But accessibility isn’t extra.
It’s not a bonus feature.
And it’s definitely not just a compliance checkbox.

It’s how people experience your organization.

Can they navigate your website?
Read your documents?
Watch your videos?
Find what they need without frustration?

Good accessibility is good communication. Good design. Good strategy. Full stop. And honestly? Making things easier to use helps everyone.

So here’s your friendly reminder to check your alt text, caption your videos, structure your headings properly, and maybe stop uploading scanned PDFs from 2007 😉 🧡

You know those TikTok videos where someone pours their cereal, pasta, and snacks into matching containers and suddenly their pantry looks perfect?

We love those too 😅

But if everything is still hard to find, expired, or in the wrong place… the containers didn’t actually fix the problem.

Websites can work the same way.

A new theme or template can make a huge difference visually. But a better website also needs:
• clear organization
• updated content
• intuitive navigation
• and a strategy behind it all

The design gets attention.

The strategy is what makes it useful.

Happy School Communicators Day to the people doing one of the hardest jobs in education.

The people balancing urgency, clarity, transparency, community expectations, crisis response, celebrations, deadlines, social media, board meetings, websites, newsletters, and approximately 47 other things (before lunch).

A lot of the work school communicators do is invisible when it’s going well. But it matters. Strong school communication builds trust. It creates connection. It helps families feel informed, included, and supported.

And behind all of that are real people doing thoughtful, complicated work every single day.

We see you. We appreciate you. And we’re really glad you do what you do.

Shoutout to teachers and school staff.

The early mornings.
The long days.
The million little moments that add up to something big.

You’re shaping lives in ways most people don’t even see. We’re really glad you do what you do, and we appreciate you! Thank you 🧡💙

Schools: the ADA Title II web and mobile accessibility deadline just moved — one year for larger jurisdictions, two for smaller districts and special district governments.

That’s helpful. But let’s be clear—it didn’t change the expectation. Accessibility isn’t something you start next year. It’s something your community needs today.

If your website isn’t usable for everyone, the issue isn’t the timeline. It’s the experience. More time doesn’t fix that. Better decisions do.

We wrote about what this extension actually means, what it doesn't, and how school PR professionals can use the extra time to build something that holds up — for their community and their district.

Here’s how to use the extension the right way ↓

Remember when everyone was watching the same thing? Same shows. Same ads. Same jingles stuck in your head forever.

Now?

😄You’re watching one thing.
😜Your coworker is seeing something completely different.
😳And someone else is deep in a corner of the internet you didn’t even know existed.

We didn’t just lose monoculture.
We lost the shortcut.

Nostalgia marketing is powerful—but it only works when people share the same memory. And more and more, they don’t.

What lands for one audience means nothing to another. What feels familiar to some feels confusing to others. So if you can’t rely on “remember this?”…

You have to build something worth remembering.

That’s the shift. Read more: https://www.celpr.com/the-end-of-monoculture-and-what-it-means-for-brands/

“Five out of six dentists agree…”

Have you ever wondered who that 6th dentist is? And why they don’t recommend the toothpaste?

That’s the problem with generic claims.
“We’re great.”
“We’re trusted.”
“We’re a leader.”

Says who?

Strong communication doesn’t just make claims. It backs them up with real examples, real outcomes, and real evidence. Because “we’re great” isn’t convincing.

But proof is.

Refreshing a legacy brand isn’t about starting over. It’s about knowing what’s worth keeping, and what needs to evolve.

In this project, the goal wasn’t to replace a mascot or rewrite history. It was to bring clarity, consistency, and meaning to something people already cared deeply about.

That’s the real work of brand strategy: honoring the past while making it usable for today.

Take a look at how it came together 👇
