🎨Ever wondered how I turn a plain bucket into a custom keepsake?

Here’s my step-by-step process from blank bucket to a custom masterpiece! 🪣💕

Steps :

1. Get a bucket.
My all time pick is “BEHRENS” these are used for livestock and are super durable! Can be found at any hardware/feed store!

2. Remove the sticker (ofc)
This can be tricky. Always go slow and sometimes you can use a heat gun/blow dryer to help loosen the adhesive.

3. Always make sure to remove the sticky residue left behind. You can use “GooGone” or just use metal wool and dish soap.

4. Let dry completely

5. Scuff
Make sure to scuff the surface with something like sandpaper to help the paint adhere.

6. Tape anything that doesn’t need to be painted.

7. Prime
I like to use Rustoleum white primer specifically for metals. May take 1-2 coats.

8. Paint
Using your favorite acrylic paint, let your design come to life. (Some colors take MULTIPLE coats)

9. Top coat
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use a good top coat and spray multiple times to minimize wear/tear.

10. All done ! ✨

Yesterday’s Summer Beach Party at Stagecoach Greenway was a success! ☀️🏖️🎨

☀️I had the opportunity to do face painting for the event, and I can’t thank everyone enough for their support. As someone who is still pretty new to face painting, stepping out into the community can be a little nerve-wracking. But every smiling face, kind word, and child excited to sit in my chair helps build my confidence and reminds me why I love doing this.

⛱️I learned so much, met lots of wonderful new friends, and got some great practice along the way. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, and a huge thank you to Cleveland County Water for hosting such a fun event to celebrate the new greenway. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
