Great Locations #1 Tourist Guide for South Florida Allow me to tell you a little about Great Locations and how it all begin with the publisher Chuck Russell who is an hotelier first and a publisher second.

He fell into publishing by accident 29 years ago, promoting his family owned resort the Beachcomber, initially with 25,000 copies. Now, the Great Locations Guidebook is the largest distributed guidebook in Greater Fort Lauderdale and has grown to 800,000 copies in Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach Counties

After all these years our goal is still the same, to guide our guests, and inform them what to

do and where to do it. Throughout these years we have established long term relationships with our advertisers and with that comes benefits. No longer relying on just static distribution, we have built a network of active distribution, reaching tourists on the go. One example would be our exclusive distribution on the Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi, giving us access to their 1,000 passengers a day. Another example is our relationship with the Las Olas Association reaching their upscale shopping and dining district through exclusive distribution. As you know, in-room distribution is a thing of the past and that will affect other Publications, but not Great Locations. Great Locations has always been 1 book to 1 guest, NOT relying on readership, like other publications.
