Happy Thanksgiving! 50 years of trusting Davenport Sign and Art, LLC with your corporate, municipal, and boating identities. I am still going strong at 73, working everyday. The only difference is that I now refer the larger jobs to my competitors. I received a BFA from OSU in 1975. When I moved home, my friend said that if I could paint a picture, I should be able to hand paint his van lettering. About 5 years later the vinyl letter machine was invented. A few years later, a company in Texas interfaced a computer with the vinyl cutter. Now, every sign shop has a large vinyl cutter, large digital printer, and a laminator table. No paint involved! Health is everything, and as long as I am healthy, I will continue to work. It is too damn easy compared to the old way, when a sign was a piece of plywood, primed, painted, and hand lettered. Thanks again!!
