Happy Launch Day to Community Grown Gardens’ 30-Day SeedMoney campaign! Currently Meeks Marketing had the honor of designing the visuals for this fundraiser, and we’re incredibly proud to support the work this nonprofit is doing right here in our Downriver community.

Community Grown Gardens is a Grosse Ile–based nonprofit dedicated to providing fresh, organic produce to local residents and businesses while also offering year-round education in gardening, nutrition, and community wellness. Their garden serves as both a food source and a learning space. It's a place where people can grow, connect, and care for one another.

This campaign helps fund the everyday essentials that keep their programs running: seeds, soil, tools, utilities, labor, education materials, and more. If you're able to donate between now and December 15th, every dollar goes directly toward sustaining their mission. And if a financial donation isn’t possible, sharing their posts still helps amplify their impact.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with Community Grown Gardens on this project, and we hope you’ll join us in supporting the amazing work they do.

EEEEEE! We love a little brand refresh!

Laura and I both knew we loved the original design but it just needed...something. I was so happy to be given the chance to revisit this one. It's absolutely one of my proudest projects to date. Thank you SO much for sharing, Laura. And for growing with me on this journey!

A little life update as well: I took a hiatus for the summer while I was off of school (half way through my marketing degree tyvm! 😊). It turns out trying to balance 16 credit hours, 2 jobs, freelancing, a (wonderful!) social life, AND getting a good night's sleep is in fact...a lot harder than I had originally anticipated. We made it through but whew.....it wasn't pretty.

School starts up again next week and (wisely) I've decided to take a lighter workload this semester. I'll be finishing up a lot of my prerequisites this semester and taking a Design in Advertising course that I'm super excited for. This does mean I likely won't graduate as early as I had thought, but this is a marathon, not a race. I want to do well and speed ≠ accuracy here, y'know?

Lastly, it may have been quiet here but trust, ya girls been WORKING. I'll be sharing my summer projects here soon but you can see some of my most recent work RIGHT NOW by clicking the links below! I've been working with Sperry's in Port Huron since April and REALLY loving the opportunity to be creative every day there! Give those pages a follow and show them some love! We're doing some really cool things over there so don't miss out!

The fight for a fair budget is on, and we need your voice! Call or email Senators Gary Peters and Elissa Slotkin and urge them to vote against the Republican budget.

🚨 Trump is already wreaking havoc by pushing government shutdowns and reckless firings. We can’t afford to let extremist politics dictate our future. Speaker Mike Johnson and his allies want to play political games at our expense—let’s show them we won’t back down.

Me and my younger selves have always kept in touch. 6 year old
Meeks loves my cats and how many plushies I still collect with my adult money. She’s also confused as to why I didn’t grow up to be a vet or an animal cop like the ones she saw on Animal Planet.
9 year old Meeks, who loved Photobucket and sketched outfits, says she saw it coming. She laughs it up with 12 year old Meeks all the time, who’s busy building Weebly websites and learning front-end coding on MySpace and Tumblr. (For FREE btw. I’m coming for my check one day, TOM.
Would you believe me if I told you it took me like...15 more years to finally put the pieces together? I’m 4 years into the social media marketing field at this point. I started teaching myself the Adobe Suite in 2022, and I still don’t always feel like a graphic designer.
There are
many days I regret not starting sooner. But I’m getting there! I’m finally pursuing my degree at 27 years old. And for the first time maybe EVER, when I look back at all the me’s before me, it all finally makes sense.
So cheers to that! And cheers to 6 more weeks of the fall semester

Happy International Cat Day! 🐈

These two have been with me through every up and down—whether they’re keeping me company during late-night work sessions or making me laugh with their goofy antics. Edamame and Moira Rose bring a sense of calm to the chaos, reminding me to slow down and appreciate life’s little moments (usually by flopping down on my keyboard mid-email 😴).

So today, I’m celebrating all the love, joy, and never-ending cat hair that come with being their person. 🩷 Here’s to Edamame, Moira Rose, and all the cats out there who make our lives so much brighter!
