The towers have enough concrete at both bases to bury a tennis court 10 feet deep.

The bridge was conceived of a month after 9/11 and completed in a pandemic-occasioned recession. Its 19-year journey from blueprints to opening took it from wind tunnels in China to engineering studios in Germany, from a steel mill in Arizona to union halls in California.

Went to the dedication of the Hidden Creeks Preserve yesterday. So excited to see this space protected from development. Located just west of Porter Ranch it had been planned for more than 100 homes. There are spots up there with great view and spots where you would not know that you are so close to the city. Thank you to everyone who made it possible, especially L.A. Mountains. Looking forward to hiking there!
