We just wrapped up an incredible workshop for Portland Design Month AIGA Portland ✍️🎨🖌️✨

During the session, we focused entirely on the basics, diving deep into the technical craft of hand lettering and traditional sign painting. From drafting precise block letters completely from scratch to practicing brush mechanics, our attendees tackled the challenges head-on.

Hand-crafted design takes patience and precision. Watching this group slow down, lean into the learning curve, and put in the work was inspiring.
Thank you to the talented group who showed up, trusted the process, and helped keep this beautiful tradition alive. You all did great!

McMenamins Kennedy School is an historic school turned into a bar and hotel. You can drink wh***ey in Detention, have a glass of w**e in Honors while listening to classical music, sip a b**r in the Cypress classroom that plays reggae or have a cocktail down in the Boiler Room. Join us on Saturday, October 10 at 10 AM in SE Portland at Studio Sign Co. for a hands on workshop where attendees learn the basics of drafting and painting sign letters by hand. Led by a second generation sign painter, Nick Lee of Studio Sign Co. has over 20 years of sign industry experience. Nick learned from his father Melvin Lee who worked as a commercial sign painter for over 50 years.

Teaching gold leaf techniques to a fantastic group of glass artists at Spokane Stained Glass this past weekend. Such a beautiful location and enriching experience for everyone involved. Thanks to Spokane Stained Glass for making it happen and to all of the glassy campers for attending.

24 karat magic for after ours 1 year anniversary. Handcrafted with real gold leaf on glass in a custom made shadow box bamboo frame with a crushed velvet background. Congratulations Richard Văn Lê kim Mikey Nguyen and the rest of the team bringing hip-hop culture and Vietnamese food to Portland every night!
