Our friends at Gulf of Maine Sashimi needed a better website, to allow them to sell fish online instead of doing so from their brick-and-mortar location.
The system we put in place replaced a suite of 4 Excel spreadsheets they were using to keep track of her orders, inventory, pickup locations.
We customized Wordpress and WooCommerce to meet our needs. We built a custom one-page list view of the products. Everything is easy to use and fast. With only a few clicks, a visitor can place an order in an instant.
Because the business offers a suite of pickup locations to choose at checkout, we needed to develop a tool to allow pickup location management and also to display the location information on orders and email notifications.
The website was built over the weekend.
We launched last night, Jen sent an email to her newsletter subscribers and now they have 140 ORDERS already!
The content is not perfect. We focused mostly on the shopping experience because that is what's important now.
