I have been very poor about keeping this page up, but I wanted to share this.

Many of you are familiar with my cover photo image ""Easing of the Tempest". When I made that photo, it was the 4th time that I had been back to that particular spot looking down the Columbia at Ruthton Point, hoping to ultimately capture that image.

The time before that I had been there shooting, I had jumped the fence preventing me from capturing the scene that I was after and was hanging out over the cliff, working to capture the fall sunset when the sheriff showed up... apparently someone thought that I was a going to jump. The sheriff was very nice, but I ended up packing it in for the night and images captured during that evenings shoot were soon eclipsed by the later stormy shoot that produced ""Easing of the Tempest".

I am sharing all this because I wanted to share that one of the images from that previous sunset shoot (that the Sheriff interrupted) was selected for the cover of the fall issue of Portland Monthly as well as another of my vineyard photos running full page inside.
