Congratulations to Lynn A. Haller, Author on her debut, The Hallway of Doorknobs! It's a wonderful children's book that helps them explain and work with the hard feelings we all have (yes, it's a good read for grown-ups too). Well done, Lynn!

Today is the day.

The Hallway of Doorknobs is here.

Behind every door lives a part. A cactus. A fire. A disco ball in cowboy boots. Each one with a job to do and a story to tell.
This book invites children to walk down the magical hallway and find out who lives there. To knock on the doors and meet what's inside. And discover that every part of them belongs.

And honestly? A lot of adults have been knocking on those same doors too.

And if it means something to you, please share it. Every share helps this story find a child who needs it.

After you read it, I would be very happy if you could leave a review. Reviews are important so more kids and families can find the book!
A special thank you to Maya Bairey and Justyna Nowosadko. I have enjoyed every minute of our collaboration and cannot thank you enough for all of your hard work and support on The Hallway of Doorknobs.

We're so proud to announce this one. 'The Hallway of Doorknobs: A Journey to the Feelings Inside' by Lynn A. Haller, Author is coming May 4.

It's a children's book grounded in Internal Family Systems, and it does something most emotional literacy books don't: instead of asking kids to name their feelings, it helps them meet the protective parts inside them. A cactus with softening spines. A disco ball that performs to keep vulnerability away. Characters a six-year-old can see, hold, and recognize in themselves.

Lingua Ink author Lynn A. Haller, Author is writing a really interesting series of personal essays exploring the 8 Cs of Self from Internal Family Systems therapy, and she uses her own life stories to bring each concept to life. Concerts, solo travel, a prickly coworker, a daughter who stopped for groceries. It's warm, honest, and genuinely worth a read. Check out her latest post!

When Jean Valjean sang Bring Him Home, the theater fell silent. By the end, we were all on our feet, tears streaming. Mid-show.
That was my first taste of collective effervescence: the energy that emerges when strangers experience art together. Concerts, marching band competitions, my daughter's college band playing Amazing Grace. These moments taught me that creativity isn't just about what one person makes. It's about what we create together.
In IFS, creativity is one of the 8 Cs of Self. And it doesn't stay inside us. It ripples out.

Before you go, I’m curious…
Have you ever experienced a concert or live performance that seemed to reach a Part of you that words couldn’t?
What show or song was it?

Has an editor ever told you your conflict feels manufactured? It means they can see the puppet strings. Maybe it's a secret your character keeps for no real reason, or an interruption that's just there to steal pages.
This post breaks down what the note actually means.
