Kinda chic to focus on your clients.

Kinda chic to go completely MIA on your own Instagram while doing it. 😂

Since I last showed up here, I started a new full-time job and spent most of my time outside of work making sure my clients were taken care of.

Which is a very real part of being a freelance social media manager.

You spend all day creating strategies, content and calendars for other businesses… and suddenly your own content calendar is looking a little ✨neglected✨.

Small business owners, freelancers, social media managers… you get it.

Sometimes you’re not posting because you’re not working.

You only get a few seconds to make a first impression.

Your content might earn the profile visit, but your profile is what earns the follow.

One of the biggest opportunities I see when auditing business accounts isn't the content—it's the profile itself. If someone lands on your page, they should immediately know:

• Who you help.
• What you do.
• Why they should stick around.

A strong social media strategy goes far beyond creating content. It includes thoughtful messaging, profile optimization, keywords that improve discoverability, and a plan that builds your authority over time.

The goal isn't just more views. It's turning profile visits into followers, followers into trust, and trust into future clients.

When was the last time you looked at your bio through the eyes of someone finding you for the first time?

One of the biggest mistakes I see is celebrating vanity metrics without asking what they actually mean.

More views are great—but they're only one piece of the puzzle.

If your content is reaching thousands of people but follower growth has stalled, that's valuable data. It doesn't necessarily mean your content isn't working. It means there's another question to answer.

Maybe your profile isn't clearly communicating who you help. Maybe your messaging isn't giving people a reason to follow. Maybe your content attracts curiosity but doesn't build connection.

This is why I love analytics. They take the guesswork out of your strategy.

Stop asking, "How do I get more views?"

Start asking, "What are my analytics trying to tell me?"

That's where growth happens.
