I came across this quote from Germany Kent, and it stood out to me. We all have heard some variation of the saying, "do what you love and success will follow." I prefer the statement, "do what you're great at." It's real, genuine, and rings true for so many. Find what matters to you, play to your strengths, and make a difference.

You may think it's too early to think of the holidays, but it's not. This year's holiday season is bound to be unique, considering our current situation.

Ensuring you target the right customers for your products and services is necessary. The key is planning ahead and focusing on your segments correctly to best promote your brand and appease your customers.

Email marketing and social marketing are significant before the holiday season. So you may want to review your customer lists and check them twice!

Segmentation is key when it comes to promoting your products to the right customer. What may appeal to one may not to others. So you must target the right content to the right people to build engagement and increase revenue.

Here's a little wisdom for you on this Wednesday.

This little gem of a quote comes from famed neurologist and national best selling author, David Perlmutter. He writes compelling, cutting-edge perspectives on how to optimize our brains and our bodies.

Just like taking care of ourselves and our families should be our main objective in this life, when it comes to promoting your business, it's essential to strive for greatness, but perfection is not realistic.

When growing your business, you will learn from your mistakes. Take advice from mentors and rely on useful data. It's also important to listen to your audience. It's okay to make adjustments, rebrand, and switch your path based on past mistakes. That's progress. Move forward, grow, learn, and build from there.

Marketing Monday - Is your brand solution-focused? What do your customers gain from the benefits and services you provide? How do you outshine and stand out from your competitors? Getting the sale is one thing. Building trust and nurturing your existing and new customers are vital in today's marketplace.

Once you get the sale, now what? How do you maintain your customers? How do you remain top of mind, promote referrals, retain them as returning customers, and stay connected and relevant? If you solve for all that, the SALE is the first step. The reliability and quality of your products and services keep your customers engaged and coming back. By supplying solutions to your customers, you also build loyalty, trust, and reputation.

A tip for Tuesday. When it comes to social media, especially Instagram, there are many experts out there with tens of thousands of followers providing helpful tips, tutorials, and webinars about how to increase the number of followers for your personal and business pages.

Most, if not all, encourage you to be yourself, showcase your brand, provide engaging content, promote your triumphs, highlight your talent, and provide helpful tips.

Try to stick to a posting schedule, but don't oversaturate your audience. Let your tribe of followers find you. Custom design your posts so that they stand out! Promote your business through boosts and paid ads.

Social media is always evolving, which is both exciting and challenging. Don't get discouraged! If you don't have 10,000 followers yet, that's okay! Be yourself and have fun with your posts. See how your follower base responds and adjust accordingly.

Be consistent and figure out your own gold standard for your content, frequency, and above all else, provide your followers with interesting, pertinent, helpful, and encouraging content while promoting your business.

I'm going to be super (and I mean super) vulnerable with you all right now. Okay, here goes. I was an adult when I learned how to ride a bike. I KNOW! When I say adult, I mean within the past 10 years. Sad but true. 🀣

Let me explain. Growing up, I was a ballet dancer, a klutz, and maybe a bit of a control freak. Admittingly, that part has not changed too much. I was fearful of anything with wheels: A bike, skateboard, and roller skates. Forget about it. My siblings tried to teach me to ride a bike a few times but eventually gave up.

I mentally blocked myself for some reason instead of jumping on, not overthinking it, and believing in myself. I was the butt of a family joke for years. 'You can do it, it's just like riding a bike.' 🚲 😑 So, I hired someone to teach me, and I have video proof. βœ”οΈ Off my list!

It's amazing how we let certain things or situations hold us back because of fear of failing, fear of being judged, or, in my case, fear of falling off a bike. Whatever it is that blocks us from success, new opportunities, and innovation, the first step is to look fear straight in the eye and overcome it. Don't be afraid to try new things, create, take risks, break down barriers, and pay attention to your surroundings. Be fearless.

I think all of us can relate to feeling vulnerable. It makes us human. Embrace it and use it to your advantage. Whether in business or in your personal life, do one thing this week that you have put off or are fearful of trying. Once you conquer it, you'll be surprised at how validated you feel.

Get on that bike and ride!!
