Minuteman Press – Prattville is a printing, mailing and promotional product firm. A growing locally-owned business, it is looking to add a Sales Professional to our highly motivated and collaborative team. The model candidate will be competitive, goal-oriented, achievement oriented and an amazing communicator who is interested in helping businesses improve their visual communication effectiveness. A familiarity with marketing and/or printing, design and mailing will prove beneficial. Our new team member will thrive in a small business environment where their contributions will have significant impact on the success and growth of the company.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience selling to owners, presidents, and purchasing agents of small businesses in a fairly competitive environment, however, previous Business to Business sales experience is not a requirement. As part of a franchise network we have resources to aid the newly hired salesperson and we will provide training and coaching to help the individual succeed.
The Sales Representative will excel at finding and closing new client opportunities as well as have the opportunity to tap into our existing client base to expand these relationships and to gather referrals. This individual will be a hardworking, self-starter driven to succeed through an uncapped commission structure.
Our team helps businesses improve their marketing effectiveness with a wide array of print, design and promotional products services. We have been serving the River Region for over four years under the ownership of Messiah Ministries of Alabama, Inc. (501c3), non-profit organization who is interested in expanding the client base and in growing the business to provide additional opportunities and growth of our ministry.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Hunting and prospecting activities including prospecting via phone, in person (e.g., cold calling) and email as well as through social and traditional networking
• Leverage referral sources and existing clients to seek introductions to potential clients
• Establish account relationships by educating small to midsized business owners about various products and services to help grow their businesses, examples include:
o Digital Printing, Promotional Products, Wide Format, business forms, letterhead, and envelopes
o Direct mail campaigns
o In-House Graphic Design
o Custom Apparel (Screen-Printing/Embroidery/Heat Transfer)
• Present/Return quotations (close sale) within established timeframes
• Contact dormant accounts and reactivate them
Qualifications And Skills
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent hunting and prospecting skills
• Team player with uncompromising integrity
• Keen interest in marketing and/or design
• B2B sales experience preferred
• Highly organized
• Must be comfortable with MS Office suite of tools (Outlook, word, excel)
• Ability to learn our database management (FLEX) software
• Excellent verbal skills
