On the morning of February 2nd, Hill-Skeffington Funeral Home was struck by a devastating fire that left our historic building in ruins. However, amidst the destruction, there was an act of incredible heroism. David Ucci, Jr., a dedicated funeral director who has been with us since he was 15 years old, ran into the burning building to save four individuals entrusted to our care.

David’s commitment to his community and to the families we serve goes far beyond what most could imagine. His courage in the face of danger speaks volumes about the type of person he is.

We are so proud to have him as a part of our Hill-Skeffington family. His selflessness is a reminder of the heart of this community, and we are incredibly fortunate to call him one of our own. 🙏🏼

As we begin the long road to rebuild, we are deeply thankful for your ongoing support and for the brave first responders who helped save lives. 💔
