Twelve years ago this coming March, Tom Hennes and his immensely creative team at Thinc Design, opened the spectacular exhibition, "Infinite Variety: Three Centuries of Red and White Quilts," at The Park Avenue Armory. Lizzie Crocker, then writing for The Daily Beast:, gave the show one of its many rave reviews. Built in two day and on display for just six days, the show spiraled up and down and over, and attracted an international audience of many thousands. I was and still am thrilled to work with these extraordinary and talented designers.
Often snubbed in the art world, red-and-white patchworks are finally getting a huge display at the Armory—but is dangling them in midair treating them like high art?
