Judging RIBBA’s recent Young Adults Competition brought me back to the times when I was starting to offer businesses services in exchange for money to pay my college tuition. There’s a confidence that slowly builds once you exchange your talent for monetary value that’s indescribable.

For this competition, these young Black Entrepreneurs had to show up for themselves and their businesses. They prepared pitch presentations to explain their business concepts. Us judges (Victor Regino, Donaldo Rex Mitogo, & myself Ronia Peguero) were blown away and had the tough decision of choosing the winners.

1st Place MUSE, LLC Toye Onikoyi and Larry Adigun
2nd Place - MBKBeauty – Khamry Varfley
3rd Place - KerlyGirl – Kerlyne Jean-Baptiste

Remembering back to the times when I was first getting started, it would have been helpful to have received monetary support, but more importantly is the connections and relationships that hopefully develop from that event. The power of advice or guidance when building a business is important to help navigate through rough spots and avoid potential common mistakes. This is why I like to always be available to help those who are starting out or have already started with a business idea.

I’ve been running a business since 2004 & have learned many things along the way that some may find useful. I like to help busy entrepreneurs level up their businesses website & SEO.

👀Our clients are getting views. Local SEO is a option that is offered to our clients that can really help you rank on Google and get people to take interested in your business.

SEO is made up of 3 basic parts:
1. On-site
2. Backend
3. Backlinks

Getting clients almost a quarter of a million views in one month is a proud accomplishment. Increasing digital visibility creates customers which then turn into sales.

We had the honor of rebranding Boston Women's Fund. They were looking to refresh their image, logo and brand colors.

We developed a Brand Guideline booklet that featured logo color variations, font type, web and print color codes. This set the foundation for all their social media posts and new website design.

We were happy to be part of the process, to help represent who BWF is today. A non-profit that supports marginalized women+* and girls+* in achieving racial, social, and economic justice.

*Women+ and girls+ refers to women and girls, including transwomen, as well as those who identify as femme, nonbinary and/or genderfluid.
