HONEST PARTNER IN THE FIGHT AGAINST FENTANYL? In North Carolina in 2021, more people died from fentanyl overdoses than from car wrecks or gun violence.

The Associated Press reports: "There is little debate among U.S. and even Mexican officials that almost all the fentanyl consumed in the United States is produced and processed in Mexico."

But Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said on March 5th: "Here, we do not produce fentanyl, and we do not have consumption of fentanyl. Why don’t they (the United States) take care of their problem of social decay?”

The Mexican president's comments fly in the face of reality and prove the point behind a letter sent just a week before on Feb. 27th to President Biden from the 7-term Sheriff of Rockingham County, NC - Sam Page.

Page wrote in part: "How can the U.S. Government ever dismantle and disrupt the Mexican Drug Cartel organizations currently operating if this Administration fails to obtain a commitment from the President of Mexico and its leaders to do so?"
