Marketing Tip (One of the Most Common Ways to Get Rejected):

For those of you that are familiar with running campaigns through the Facebook Ads platform, you're certainly no stranger to the dreaded "rejection" notice.

More often than not, the rejection of your ad campaign or creatives will be a simple mistake caused by an accidental mis-flagging of your ad content.

BUT, and this is important to know, if you're offering a business-to-business service that directly works through using Facebook or Instagram, you may have been rejected for another reason.

Recently, Facebook has become more dedicated to protecting it's brand assets (and by association, Instagram's as well). This means that any reference to Facebook or Instagram, or abbreviations of their name (ex. "FB" or "IG") in your ad campaign in any capacity can cause your campaign to be rejected.

For instance, we recently had a client who reached out to us because one of his ads for a commercial goods exportation service was declined. The ad started like this: "If you own a business and you're seeing this advertisement on Facebook, chances are...."

And so it continued.

Nothing in his ad screamed a violation of policy... except for the use of Facebook's name.

In short, if you decide to run an ad campaign, avoid referencing Facebook or Instagram. This is one of the most commonly seen ways to receive a rejection notice for your ad.

HOW TO GROW YOUR BRAND PRESENCE TO 10K ON INSTAGRAM

One of the most commonly asked questions we receive from business owners is what specific steps can be taken to grow brand presence/following on social media platforms; generally Instagram.

Instagram can be a very powerful marketing tool for business owners, and often provides significant feedback on who you should be showing your product or service to.

With that in mind, we’ve decided to give all of you the best and most efficient way to grow your business page on instagram to 10,000 (which we’ve found to be the benchmark most business owners look for early stage). This method is tried and true; we’ve done it time and time again for clients!

This is going to sound very simple, but rest assured it is the most effective and fastest way to grow both your following and engagement outside of ad campaigns.

For your first 500-1,000 followers, look for businesses and brands similar to yours. Same niche, or related. Ideally other product lines just like yours (ex. If you have a clothing store, find other clothing stores).

Engage with those accounts. Turn on post notifications, and when they post, like and leave a HELPFUL or insightful comment related to the post; don't just advertise your page or leave a generic "good post" type of comment.

Active and productive engagement will grab the attention of their audience, who will also be curious to know more about your brand. Also, be sure to follow the followers of your competitors early on. If they are interested in similar products, they may like yours too. This is a good way to grow in your beginning stages. An added benefit to this will be that instagram’s algorithm will eventually associate your page with your competitors, and will begin to recommend your page to people following those accounts.

The more complicated part comes from 1,000-10,000 followers. Post multiple times a day at set intervals to accumulate measurable data via post insights. Eventually, you'll be able to tag specifics that enable you to consistently hit explore page and accumulate more post notification subscribers. By that point, you should be able to turn each post into the equivalent of spending $250+ on facebook ads OR build your own organic funnel system.

We’ve found that this method generally takes only 12-16 weeks to see your first 10,000 followers. The best part: they’ll all be actively engaged audience members for your brand!

Did you know it's much more effective to run marketing campaigns instead of individual ads?

Many starting business owners' first experience with advertising is boosting their posts or offerings; unfortunately, more often than not, this first experience doesn't go well!

In order to drive more traffic or sales to a social account or website, it's important to have a target audience in mind. If you don't, you're throwing money down the drain by targeting too broad of an audience and hoping one of them will be interested in your product!
