Meet The GOOD List ✨

We’re kicking off a brand new series highlighting the Triangle’s hidden helpers - the people and organizations making a real difference every day (often behind the scenes).

First up: SAFE Haven for Cats 🐾
For more than 30 years, SAFE Haven has been the Triangle's best place for cats - rescuing, caring for, and matching them with loving families. As a no-kill shelter, they go above and beyond to provide medical care, spay/neuter services, and a safe, nurturing space while each cat waits for the right match. They also support the broader community through low-cost clinic services and pet owner education.

Because every cat deserves a chance at a loving home, and every community is stronger when we show up like this.

Stay tuned as we keep shining a light on the good happening all around us.

15 Years of BC/DC IDEAS: Paint, Passion & Pure Chaos

How do you celebrate 15 years of creative rebellion? With neon paint at , of course.

This week, the BC/DC crew threw down some serious color to mark 15 years of ideas, half-day brainstorms, wild client dreams, and that unstoppable spark that keeps us doing what we love.

Fifteen years of storytelling, strategy, and staying just the right amount of weird. Fifteen years of helping nonprofits change the world - one campaign, one conversation, one bold idea at a time.

Here’s what we’ve learned along the way:
💡 Self-expression isn’t optional — it’s fuel.
🎨 Creativity needs room to get messy.
🌈 The best ideas come when you’re having fun.

We’ve grown, evolved, and adapted (a lot), but at our core, BC/DC IDEAS has always been about one thing: helping good people do good things beautifully.

So here’s to the next 15 years of color, courage, and creativity 💖 and never being afraid to make a little mess in the name of something meaningful.

DRUM ROLL, PLEASE 🥁 The client picked…option 3 with a minor evolution of moving the logo below the title. (See the previous post for all the client options.) 🎉🎉🎉 The BC/DC Ideas team created this mark to add brand equity to ’s Summer of Service program. ☀️ To fill those summer doldrums, Activate Good, the best volunteer resource in the Triangle, has organized a Summer of Service for teens and families to give back all summer long. The nonprofit organization has created 15 service projects for families and youth to do good and support various cause areas.

The series of events is organized in week-long sprints to do the most good. There is something for every interest, ability, and schedule during June, July, and August.

The first week of service started last Friday, June 14, at Wake Up and Read, creating literacy kits to be distributed at learning sites and shared during community events.

This volunteer series is an excellent opportunity for high school students to earn volunteer hours ahead of time for service clubs or college applications. To learn more about this non-profit and everything they have to offer, follow them at ✨

CREATIVE BRIEF:
We want to create a super fun, hip, sticker-worthy program mark for an Activate Good event.

Audience: 7-15-year-olds
Words: Summer of Service 2024
Colors: Activate Good color and brand standards
Goal: A design a youth would want to keep on their waterbottle

Ideas:
1.) Let’s try a puffy 3D mylar balloon letters
2.) The client would like to see a Choose Your Adventure type theme
3.) We could also play with any current design trends
