Have you ever asked your local school if you could give a talk to the students? It is a great way to get your name known in your community as well as being a positive move for your local teenagers. Create a talk based on an issue for teenagers and go to the school asking if you can give the talk. A subject you have good experience is important but some examples would be: Mental health, Dealing with rejection, Bullying, Relationships.

Social Media for a Therapist Website
In this age of social media, is it necessary or even a good idea for a therapist to be active on social media? If so, should they focus on Facebook? Twitter? Instagram? LinkedIn? Youtube? Others? With so many options out there, how can we ensure that social media is working for us and not just being a waste of valuable time?

These are important questions to ask as it is very true, social media can become an enormous time drain or distraction without giving back any real benefit. In this post we will look at what is good and bad to do, what platforms should be focused on and how each one can bring some benefits to the therapist’s practice.
