And you’re not giving them the next steps…

You’re missing the point.

If you truly believe that your business helps people – then you need to shift your perspective.

Selling is Serving.

A strong Call to Action (CTA) at the end of your emails tells your audience exactly where you want them to go next.

And gives them that easy path to follow that they’re looking for. 🙌🏼

Because...

I’m ALWAYS worried about getting run over by a moose.

In fact, back when I used to exercise the ranch horses…

I almost got run away with – when the horse got spooked by a moose and her calf.

I felt pretty safe in that situation. I'm a good rider and able to get control and get away.

But on foot… with a 1500lb animal staring me down at close range…

Not something I ever want to encounter.

But sometimes sending emails feels like staring a moose down.

I disagree with a lot of people on this topic.

I constantly see marketers comparing email marketing with social media. (In fact I’m guilty of this myself, on occasion.)

But truthfully they’re comparing apples to pineapples.

Social media is all about bringing people into your world.

Email, on the other hand is used to keep people in your world… and sell to them.

Yes, there is overlap between the two. It’s not quite as cut and dry as this post may make it seem.

But knowing the main role of each platform is key to using the right strategies in each.

🥷 I guarantee you would have laughed seeing my ninja moves this morning – as I tried to make it to the kitchen for a cup of coffee… without waking my toddler. 🤪

All in an effort to write a quick weekly email to my subscribers.

You can’t brighten someone’s day with email if you don’t even send one.

And if you’re just sending boring promo style emails like it’s still 1999… something’s gotta give.

“Value” doesn’t have to mean tips and tricks. It can just mean bringing a smile to someone’s face.

I loved Laura Belgray’s take on email mindset in her recent workshop – and just had to share!
