When I started my business 22 years ago, it was out of my basement so that I could be home with my very small children. The plan was to take on employees and move to an external office when my youngest went to kindergarten. I stuck to the plan, and on move in day to my new external office, this plant showed up. A gift from my mother in law. I remember thinking, “how long will I keep this thing alive.” A thought not unlike the ones I had when I started my business.
We laid my mother-in-law to rest last month, and so today I think of her fondly, grateful for her support. It is only through the grace of God and a lot of support, that I have kept this plant (18 years old now), my business, and so many other things, alive. Motherhood reminds us of the criticalness of nurturing support. Happy Mothers Day. 🌱🪴
