Calling all young football players in the Black Hills!

The SDSU Jackrabbit Development Camp is a great opportunity to get quality coaching before the fall season kicks off. On June 20th, athletes entering grades 7 through 12 will spend two hours working directly with SDSU's full-time football staff on position-specific skills and fundamentals. Every skill level is welcome, and the goal is simple: go home a better player.

Check-in is at 11:00 AM, camp runs noon to 2:00 PM, and registration is $80. 🏈

It's that time of year again! The 37th Annual SCHEELS Rushmore Cup is here, and Rapid City is ready to play host to some of the best youth soccer in the region. June 12–14, boys and girls from U8 all the way to U19 will be competing at the Black Hills Surgical Sports Complex — one of South Dakota's top facilities right on the edge of the Black Hills.

Between matches, families and fans get to explore everything Rapid City has to offer — great restaurants, local shops, and oh yeah... Mount Rushmore is basically in the backyard. Not a bad weekend to be in South Dakota!

Rapid City's biggest swim meet is back. The Rushmore Swim Team Summer Classic hits the pool June 12–14 at Roosevelt 50-meter pool, and it's three straight days of fast starts, tight turns, and full-send finishes. Swimmers of all ages competing. Families packed in the stands. That electric feeling when someone touches the wall first and the crowd goes nuts. Come be part of it. Congratulations to the Nerdy Nuts June Athletes of the Month!

The female athlete of the month is Makinley Holec. Makinley was the Senior Title Winner at the Spotlight Dance Cup, earning the highest score of the competition out of 418 dances with her lyrical solo to Unchained Melody. She finished her senior season at Stevens High School after dancing at Prima Dance since the age of three. What a way to go out, Makinley!

The male athlete of the month is Brady Waddell, who will be a senior at Stevens in the fall. Brady was an all-region baseball selection for the Stevens Raiders and was added to the Top Prospects roster from Prep Baseball Dakotas, a showcase event that brings together the best players from South Dakota and North Dakota for college scouts. Brady is the No. 1 ranked position player for the Dakotas and No. 4 ranked overall heading into the Prospects Games. That is a big deal, Brady. Rapid City is proud of you!

The World Record Track Camp is coming to Rapid City on July 10-11 at South Dakota School of Mines -- and spots are filling up.
Train alongside Olympic gold medalists, world record holders, and elite coaches for two days of speed work, event-specific training, and real talk about competing at the next level. This is the camp's third year in Rapid City, and it keeps getting better.
Register by June 30 to lock in the $225 special rate -- prices go up to $250 on July 1.
