Takeaways from the NJ Digital Marketing Conference 🙌🏻

I did predict this like 3 years ago but you know me. Never wrong. Just early. And that’s why I always sound crazy lol

Gone are the days of brands only working with huge influencers. Reach is still looked at but it’s not as important as how deep an influencer or content creator can go with their audience.

Small but mighty and loyal following? Brands will love you! Just keep posting and most importantly be unapologetically yourself. Like me 🙂‍↔️

Waiting until January to start your marketing is a crime scene 🫣

We hear it all the time around Oct/Nov “we want to hit the ground running in Jan on our marketing”

Ok great! But first you have to get through the “housekeeping” phase which is the first 30-90 days and it’s called a crime scene for a reason.

Inevitably some variation of the following is bound to happen:

• 10 different pages are setup and none of them are connected to IG
• Have TikTok but never posted
• LinkedIn page is non-existent
• No one in the company has any login information to the social media pages
• Domain not connected to email
• Outdated contact lists
• No CRM
• 10 years worth of content that needs to be assessed
• Website hasn’t been updated in 20 years
• No following
• The wrong following
• Google analytics not setup

And so many more fun surprises! 🤗

Those first 30-90 days are crucial not just for your strategy for the rest of year but it quite literally is laying the foundation for your success.

So if you think you’re going to hit the ground running by Jan 1st….think again.
