IMS2026 Spotlight: Signal Hound Demonstrates the PCR4200 Multi-Channel Phase-Coherent Receiver

At IMS 2026, Justin Crooks of Signal Hound showcased the PCR4200, a multi-channel phase-coherent receiver platform designed for direction finding, signal monitoring, and multi-channel RF measurement applications.

The PCR4200 features four receive channels and a dedicated transmit channel that can be used for system calibration. According to Crooks, the platform can be expanded by cascading multiple units together, enabling systems with up to 16 phase-coherent receive channels.

A key capability highlighted during the demonstration was the receiver's flexibility. In addition to phase-coherent operation, each receive channel can be independently tuned, allowing users to combine spectrum sweeping and fixed-frequency monitoring within the same system.
