New project online! I'd like to introduce you to the new Stanton Alumni Kiosk located in the Stanton Schools' downstairs concourse or accessible via https://alumni.stantonschools.com

Plans are already underway to further enhance the physical appearance of the kiosk itself, but most importantly we wanted this online for Stanton's 2025 Homecoming weekend.

Search for Stanton graduates and view the class composites that use to line the hallways of the school.

This project was made possible by the Stanton Education Foundation, Stanton Booster Club, Jasmine Osher (class of 2026) for composite digitization, and built by Beau Boeye of Boeye Tech & Design.

Exciting announcement for the Evergreen Cemetery!

We're ready to reveal, just in time for Memorial Day, our phase 2 project - a new website to feature our beautiful cemetery as a whole, as well as the revitalized burial records kiosk that was launched in 2023, and now the new Veteran Memorial Database.

This database started with one entry as a concept, and quickly evolved to over 700 records. This wouldn't have been possible without our partnership with the Restored BN Depot and WW II Museum who had an old kiosk + database. Thankfully we were able to recover, clean, organize, and import the data - and it works wonderfully. We were really excited to see that over 400 veterans had photos associated with them!

We are already looking at expanding this database to include memorials for first responders as our next update. Some additional content about purchasing burial sites will be coming really soon, too.

There's so much history at Evergreen Cemetery. It's truly one of the most beautiful cemeteries and it's a great pleasure to be able to work together with the community to make these upgrades possible.

It's exciting to see the new downtown mural going up. Like others have alluded to, it's been a long time coming. I got involved in conversations back during the fall of 2018. After my first meeting with the ROAD group, I had so much fun creating the following video. Sadly, I/we never published it. 5 years later, might as well showcase it since the timing might be more appropriate than ever:

FMTC has announced their plans to build-out the fiber infrastructure for residents in Red Oak and Clarinda, with future plans in Corning and Bedford.

(KMAland) -- Farmers Mutual Telephone Company has announced plans to bring fiber internet to four KMAland communities over the next two years.
