We recently completed the first phase of a signage upgrade for —and what a pretty great upgrade for a pretty great piece of Redlands history.
The original street-facing sign had served the club for years, but the vinyl lettering was worn, aging, and beginning to show its time. Our goal at Pennington Designs wasn’t to completely reinvent the look. It was to respect the established design and color palette while giving it a much more refined, dimensional, and permanent presence.
We fabricated the new sign with ¼-inch black acrylic dimensional lettering, creating beautiful depth, shadow, and contrast against the clean white background. A raised perimeter accent adds another subtle architectural detail and ties the entire piece together beautifully within the club’s existing decorative iron framework.
The result feels classic, elegant, and appropriate for such a distinctive Redlands landmark—while still preserving the character of the original design.
Projects like this are exactly what we love at Pennington Designs: taking something that has history and meaning, preserving what makes it recognizable, and elevating it through better materials, dimensional fabrication, and attention to detail.
And this is only Phase One. Stay tuned as we create its companion sign near the club’s main entrance.
