In 1993 owners Joe & Connie Lawrence created Legends Sports Bar & Grill across the street from the Peppermill Hotel & Casino on Virginia St.. In 1995 that location was sold to Bully's which then opened Kahuna's so then Joe & Connie took the Legends name and concept a little over 2 miles down the street and changed the name to Legends American Grill. After 10 years of operation they sold Legends to make a lifestyle change. One of the most effective forms of advertising and marketing they had used at Legends was effective storefront, vehicle and temporary signage. They purchased rights to open a Sign-A-Rama franchise location and opened Sign-A-Rama, Reno in June 2003. In 2007 they purchased the rights and opened Sign-A-Rama, Carson City. When the economy took a dive in 2008 they closed Sign-A-Rama Carson and started the long process of breaking away from the franchise and going Independent. As the Official Sign & Graphics provider for University of Nevada Athletics, they chose to create a logo with similar colors to Nevada and change their name to SilverBlu Signs & Media.
